"A Good Government's role is to facilitate and, only as a last resort, to regulate."

Core Political Philosophy Of Kevin Loughrey
Running for the State Seat of Ballina

My Guiding Principle

I believe that Government's role should be to facilitate and only to regulate as a last resort; providing to everyone an equal opportunity throught their work and talent to succeed.

My Priorities...If elected

  1. Faithfully Represent. Faithfully represent the interests and concerns of my constituents, free from the intrigues of petty politics and the agendas of political activists and commercial entities that parties attract..

  2. Slash Cost of Energy. Reduce the cost of electricity by 5 times and halving the cost of fuel.

  3. Build Dams. Build dams to reduce flooding and provide water security.

  4. Protect the Doctor-Patient Relationship. Prevent the Government from interfering with your relationship with your doctor as it did during COVID where Government bureaucrats prohibited doctors from prescribing effective early treatment; causing thousands of needless deaths - not to mention forcing on people an ineffective, dangerous, experimental gene therapy, now responsible for an excess mortality greater than 15%.

  5. Treat Everyone the Same. Ensure that all Australians, regardless of race or gender, are treated exactly the same under the law and entitled to exactly the same benefits.

  6. Make Housing Affordable. Reduce the cost of housing and rentals by increasing supply and reducing unnecessary, costly regulation.

  7. Ensure Value for Money Spent. Whereas politicians try to win votes by spending other people's money, I believe Government has to live within a budget set by the people and to spend the money they entrust to Government more wisely; obtaining maximum value for every dollar spent.

My Ideas

There is so much Government could do to help people, who are willing to work hard, succeed. If you click on the button, "Ideas & Opinions", you can learn about many of them. This is a "work in progress". Just like songs, the world never runs out of ideas. I once asked one of my Grandsons what he was going to do when he grew up. He replied, "Granddad, my job hasn't been invented yet!" How true that is!

Why Should You Vote for Me?

You should vote for me for two reasons:
  1. My Goals. The first is that you like what I stand for and the goals I have set myself

  2. Trustworthy and Capable. The next reason is that you think I would be trustworthy and capable. Both are essential qualities. I will dwell upon the latter for a moment to explain why my capabilities are what are needed in this day and age. We live in a world dominated by technology yet our Parliament can count on the fingers of one hand those who sit there who are even remotely technologically literate. That is why COVID was handled so very badly and that is why we are all faced with energy bills that are draining the family budget and affecting the cost of everything we buy and make.

My Qualifications

I am a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, Command and Staff College, Joint Services Staff College, the Senior Management Course (UK) and the University of New South Wales where I gained an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Because I have served 32 years in the military, 4 of which were with the British Army in England and Germany, 7 years in Big Business in Senior Management positions and then created and ran my own businesses developing advanced technologies; achieving in all those appointments world firsts in engineering, chemistry, physics and computer science, I am very well equipped to navigate the complexity of technology and methodically harness it for the good of the Australian people as well as protect them from its obscene abuse as has happened with the COVID-19 "Scamdemic" and the pseudo-science underlying the group-think fiction that is "Climate Change".
